Yes. Your SSN is encrypted in transit and at rest, sent directly to TenantSafe (a FCRA-compliant screening provider) for your background check, and never shared with landlords. Landlords only see the report results, not your number.
What if I have bad credit?
Your Rental Passport is more than a credit score. We surface verified income, employment, rental history, and a personal note so landlords see the full picture. Many landlords on RentersLand prioritize stable income and references over credit alone.
